About this tool

This explorer visualises the Canterbury Groundwater Knowledge Base — a consolidated multi-source dataset assembled from ECan ArcGIS APIs, LAWA national environmental monitoring data, Landcare Research S-Map soils, NIWA DataHub climate stations, and public health surveillance data.

Load any canterbury_gw_knowledge.json file generated by the Canterbury Data Extractor to explore all available layers. The map, charts, catchment cards, health context and discharge summaries update automatically to reflect the loaded data.
